The Infinity Symbol

The infinity symbol… Tonight, in meditation, spirit has had me drawing the infinity symbol over and over and over again. I often do automatic writing during meditation, but tonight I feel the spirit guiding it is that of a specific person that I have never met in this world, but was and is still loved by many I know.  Family friends of my husband lost their grandmother recently and her Celebration of Life was held today. Sometimes I would think that the feeling of her here was just me wishing I had known her; but, I have heard her talking in the background of my mind all day. Her accent was so prominent, that I knew it must be her. Tonight, I feel her so strongly. I know that she has been with me all day trying to send a message to her family… the infinity symbol.

Throughout the  ancient civilizations on earth, there have been many symbols used to represent infinity. In Asia, the yin and yang symbol, the Celts used the Celtic knot, the Greeks debated the idea of  all things having infinite value, and the Egyptians had the idea of Lemniscatus, a serpent eating its tail, representing birth, death and rebirth. In this case, their grandmother is seeking the infinity symbol to represent her continuing and unending love. This symbol in modern meditation can mean many things - balance, focus, harmony, peace, beauty or love. The word infinity means that there is no limit or end. When I type “love” into the computer, the tingling in my head from her presence is so strong. I also just noticed that the bible quote on the front of her service leaflet is 1 Corinthians 13:133 “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” . This lovely lady lived a good long life here on earth, and she now continues on, watching over her family from the other side, with love.

Peace and Happiness
