The World Needs Love


Today as I sit here in my studio thinking about the choice of love for family and friends, the choice of love and compassion for strangers in need, near and far, I think there is so much potential and need for love everywhere. So, then I wonder why some choose to withhold that love from those who continue to love them, no matter the circumstance.

I have so many questions that may never be answered in this life, but I still strive to understand. Do we stop loving the people around us because we stop loving ourselves? Do we stop loving the people around us because we are told to stop by others? Do we stop loving the people around us because we truly believe that they are not worthy of our love? If love is part of our heart and soul, is it actually possible to stop loving the people around us? If love is part of our heart and soul then it is part of our energy and energy can neither be created or destroyed, so does it truly end?  Does the energy transform to hate? Is hate truly the opposite of love or just another aspect of love?

I have great love around me. Love of and for a spouse, a child, parents, in-laws, extended family, friends who are my chosen family, my guides, my angels, and my family who are on the other side. I also am missing the love of some people who were close to me. That does not mean I stopped loving them, I just have to be patient and allow the universe to help them find their way back to love. 

I also have love for strangers. This may sound a bit ‘preachy’, but all people in the world need love. Love can be shown in so many ways, through words, touch, or actions. Love for family or strangers can be demonstrated in similar ways. I once heard someone say that strangers are just friends that you have not met yet. This saying has always stayed with me.

With all of this said, I hope that you choose each and every day to love all of those around you, even if they do not demonstrate their love in return. The world needs this. Just think if everyone chose to love like this, what a wonderful world this would be!

“The Witch City” - Salem Massachusetts

Hi Everyone! I’ve been away for a few posts; but I’m back and ready to blog! So here we go… Cheers to my amazing daughter who, a few weeks ago, went to visit Salem Massachusetts. She brought me back this fabulous mug. Salem has long been a place I have wanted to visit, but have yet to be able to cross it off my bucket list. Salem is known as the witch city, due to the witch trials that were held there in the late 1600’s. Salem was first settled in 1626. It is the second oldest settlement in Massachusetts. It is perhaps a city best known for the witch trials held there between 1692 and 1693. Many Christians at this time held the strong belief that the Devil was a part of witchcraft. They believed that the Devil gave witches the power to harm others. Salem was not the only place where fear led to witch trials occurring. Creativity and Spirit

In addition to my life as a medium, I am also a fibre artist. Today, I spent time in the studio working on combining my two paths of life. I was creating meditation pillows with organic cotton, dried lavender blossoms and golden flax seed. I then take the cover of these beautiful little pillows and hand embroider them with intention. I use Rune and Ogham symbols to fill the pillow with love, strength, joy, or destiny just to name a few ideas from spirit. However spirit directs me, I listen and fill the pillow with that  intention. These pillows have the embroidered intention, along with the sent of lavender that brings serenity, grace and calmness that can aid in helping with headache, anxiety, or sleep.
