The Ghost in the Red Jacket

I live in a large building with many units, and therefore, many people. As a medium, I am constantly surrounded by many spirits that I largely, but respectfully ignore in my day to day life. If I did not, I would never get anything done in a day. When it is important, I do pay attention. Today, I am going to tell you about the man who lived in the courtyard of my building. I call him the ghost in the red jacket.

Since I moved to this building, about seven years now, there has been a man who looked to be in his late sixties or early seventies, who was always standing in the courtyard of my building. He was usually looking down at the grass. He wore a red windbreakers type jacket, blue jeans and a navy ball cap. I would see him standing there as I drove by to park in the underground parking of my building.

One day, he seem to suddenly realize that I knew he was there. He looked up at me and smiled. That night, as I was going to sleep, he popped into my room. He seemed to want to talk, or at least communicate in some way, but for some reason he was unable to do so. Never the less, I got the feelings from him that he was waiting for someone who lived here in the building and that he missed that person terribly. I also knew that he was a ghost, not a spirit. He was waiting for that person he missed, before he would be ready to cross over. I spoke to him a bit, and then he left for that night. Over the course of the next few years, he would pop in as stay long enough for me to know that he was still waiting for the person he missed. I never did learn his name or the name of the person he was waiting for, as he was never able to communicate in that way.

Then, not too long ago, I realized that I had not seen him in my house or around the courtyard for several weeks. My gatekeeper told me that he was finally with the person he was waiting for, and that they had crossed over together. My heart is happy for him.

Peace and Happiness
