Rosemarinus Officinalis
In the past few months, spirit has been drawing me closer to the healer that has always been in me. My guides have sparked a new found interest in me to learn more about the emotional and physical healing benefits of herbs. My new favourite is rosemarinus officinalis, ordinarily known as rosemary.
This amazing plant can help with everything from your hair and skin, to promoting love, to memory enhancement, to easing headaches, to keeping you safe from evil, to making a household cleaner. Now, I am far from a natural gardener, in fact I have been known to kill many plants in my time. Spirit saw fit to find me a partner in this world who in an amazing gardener. He kindly grows the plants I ask for and then I am able to use the plants for the needs I am presented with from spirit.
One of the oldest uses of rosemary is to purify negative energy by using it in incense, or to hang in a doorway to ward off evil from entering your home. I think one of the best uses is to prevent nightmares. To have “sweet dreams” you simply place a stem of rosemary under your pillow. Rosemary can enhance your skin and hair by adding it to massage oils or to your bath. Rosemary is a common cooking herb to enhance the flavour of your vegetables. This amazing herb can also be used in tea to assist with memory and concentration or to help ease headaches.
I have been drying rosemary for use in sachets, but I will also be using it shortly to make something known as Fire Cider, to help keep my family healthy this winter through cold and flu season. Fire Cider will not cure a cold or flu, but it does help to keep our immune systems up to possibly prevent or perhaps lesson the severity of the illness. So make some tea or fire cider this winter and enjoy all the benefits this wonderful herb has to offer :)
Peace and Happiness
